The Appraisal Foundation®'s (the Foundation) resource panels bring together subject matter experts to provide insights, research, and feedback that help shape the development of appraisal standards and qualifications. These panels serve as advisory groups to the Boards, offering specialized knowledge in areas such as business valuation and personal property.

Their input supports informed decision-making and helps ensure that the standards remain current, credible, and responsive to industry needs.

The Business Valuation Resource Panel (BVRP) is a rotating panel of leading business valuation experts, professionals, and academics appointed to provide input, recommendations, and updates from the business valuation discipline to the Boards.

The BVRP was established by the Foundation as part of its continuing efforts to preserve and improve the public trust in business valuations and appraisals. The BVRP makes resources for the Foundation that are available to the business valuation discipline and seeks to maintain and strengthen the interaction between the Foundation and members of the business valuation discipline. 

Activities of the BVRP include maintaining and developing Business Valuation Advisories and Briefs, and other special projects.

The BVRP is currently composed of 12 members who are elected to the panel and includes those currently serving on the Foundation's Boards.  

Every June the BVRP opens applications for new members seeking to take part in the conversation advising the Foundation's Boards on the business valuation field. Interested individuals can fill out the application before the posted deadline. New appointees will be notified of their acceptance in the fourth quarter.

The Personal Property Resource Panel (PPRP) is a rotating assemblage of leading personal property experts, professionals, and academics appointed to provide input, recommendations, and updates from the personal property valuations discipline of the Boards.

The PPRP enhances the work and profile of the Foundation as a multi-disciplinary organization, and aligns the personal property discipline with our mission to maintain and enhance the public trust in the valuation profession.

The PPRP is currently composed of 12 members who are elected to the panel and includes those currently serving on the Foundation's Boards.
