The Foundation Partners
What it means to be a Partner, how to apply, and a list of our current Partners.
Overview
Partners are nonprofit organizations that have committed to work with The Appraisal Foundation® (Foundation) to uphold public trust in the appraisal profession through communication and collaboration.
Any organization that becomes a Partner of the Foundation has the ability to nominate an individual to serve on the Board of Trustees (BOT). Partners who decide to also become financial contributors are not precluded from making nominations to the BOT.
Partners will also engage with the Foundation across multiple pathways including regular meetings and joint events to strengthen their relationships, promote each other’s work, and provide important feedback on the work of our Boards.
All organizations affiliated with the Foundation are held to a Code of Standards and Ethics that was adopted by the BOT and is available on the Leadership and Governance page.
Apply to Become a Partner
All applications will be reviewed by the BOT Admissions Committee. Partner applicants will then be presented to the BOT, who must approve by a two-thirds vote. Organizations looking to become Partners should review the following documents, especially the Criteria Compliance Chart, which the BOT Admissions Committee refers to as a checklist during review.
In order for a Partner to nominate a candidate for the BOT, they must ensure their application has been submitted by September to give the Admissions Committee time to review before a full Board vote in October.
